Well, it looks like the author of the 'pre-modded' packaged version of phpBB 3.0.x that I have been using stopped updating said package because of some of the mods having incompatibilities with the newest version of phpBB: 3.0.4

That said, I have uninstalled that 'package', which included, but was not limited to, the calendar, quick reply feature, gallery, etc.

I have reverted to a 'vanilla' install of phpBB 3.0.2 and will be upgrading to the latest (3.0.4) very soon.

Once I get that done, then I will implement a different and new 'package', featuring a calendar, quick reply, and more.

Stay tuned and please be patient.

You may notice that the site is faster because of the removal of a lot of fluff.

Let me know if you are experiencing faster load times or not.

Thanks!

It does seem alot faster, lost my theme setting though which was weird to come back to but no biggie.

Thanks to Nick for deleting the spam posts that flooded the board earlier today.

I finally got around to updating the board to the latest software version, so hopefully the spam has stopped.

I deleted a crap load of bogus accounts as well.

The current theme is temporary.

I will be making some other changes later this week.

Tim, thanks for all your hard work. Unfortunately, between this and CR.net I am becoming less productive at work...

Other than the theme, I've very happy with it. Much faster.

I have put the default theme back to subsilver2 for the time being.

I also implemented an anti-bot question because there have been a helluva lot of spam registrants lately.

Some more cool changes are coming soon, including RSS feed, quick reply, calendar, and more - especially a new main page with links to all the archive pages.

Bah, don't give me "cool" give me "stable". I hate it when I log into the forum and it's different from what it was the day before.

Damn kids, get off my lawn! It's stable and what I'm used to. Back in the day, Barbara Stanwyck and I used to use these forums and they were SOOO FAST! We didn't need no fancy RSS feeds or calendar widgets to make life good. I could forum with just a mouse and a keyboard, 10 miles uphill, both ways, in the snow... ;)

You're such an old man, Loren! :)

It will be cool and stable.

In fact, I just added a anti-spam bot measure to help keep the riff-raff out.
