An oil cooler is an easy add on. I had some mild, coolant overheat issues on my turbo set up. I did a DIY set up through parts that I got from Pegasus. I mounted it similar to the FM method. I found a used oil cooler from Moss, which is a setrag that is commonly used. It uses a 1/2 BSP fitting on the cooler itself. I got the sandwich plate, hoses, and fittings from Pegasus. It took me a couple of hours to do the plumbing and fab the brackets. The coolant temps never passed 11 O'clock on the gauge after the cooler was on. I saw coolant temps around 199 degrees compared to 215 before the cooler was added.

I would recommend a water/meth injection for the JRSC. I used that set up when I had a JRSC on my 96. It will cool the intake charge enough to combat knock. Plus you can even gain a little timing back as well. It is a good option for the JRSC. There is a boost switch that will activate the pump at a certain PSI. You will not have the task of the additional plumbing and weight of an inter-cooler set up. I used a kit by Devil's Own, and I had the tank in the trunk and the spray nozzle was installed onto the JRSC Xover pipe, just before the throttle body. You can simply use windshield washer fluid. The -20 stuff already has methanol in it.

Stay with the 1.6.

If you look closely (and look at the source name) my pic was a WUT? pic, not a random chick. You must keep with the theme! :P
